 Fall in Vancouver

Hallo again...we're back and this time it's with fall pictures from Vancouver. Whoever told us that it's always raining in Vancouver lied. In total we've had 3 rainy days and we've been here 3 month. Guess they want everyone to think that it's raining so the city wont be folded with tourists. The weather is still beautiful and we almost always wake up to a blue sky :-)

A couple of weekends ago we walked the beautiful route round Stanley Park. As you can see it was great weather with a blue sky. In the back you can see the part of Vancouver called Kitsilano, a part we drive thru with the bus when we go to University of British Columbia (UBC).
On the picture below you can see some rocks standing on one another. It was a guy who walk around down and found rocks that could balance on each other - so no glue, really amazing because, as you can see, it is round rocks not standing on their flat side.

There are also lots of cute animals in Stanley Park, and because of the small lakes in the park there are a great deal of ducks - funny and colorful though not that different from the ones you know from Denmark.

But there are also some more interesting animals. We met a raccoon on our walk and it was so sweet - and quite big actually - not to mention HUNGRY!! It ate a hole box of cat food while we we're there.

As you can see, quite big - here it's standing beside Eva-Marie who is looking for its friends in the bushes - it is NOT because she has become cross-eyed.

Just one last picture from the park...with a beautiful girl... oh, and Eva-Marie is there too.

In the evening we went to a party at Fairview. Fairview is a place on the campus area where a lot of the exchange students live. Lotta a Swedish girl that I'm taking a course with invited us (again - she does that a lot, so that's nice :-). In the picture below you see Louise a Danish girl in the kitchen cooking for us

In addition to Rasmus, Louise and I there was one other Dane, Mads. And Lotta and two other Swedish guys, Henrik and Bjørn. First a picture of the Swedes warming up :-)

Then Louise and I:

And finally Mads and Rasmus (very much later that night...)

I think we better return to fall pictures... Here are some from Campus.

One more:

And a final one:

And now that we already are on campus, I'll show you where I have some of my lectures and where we come to study.

Nice, eh?

Now what everybody has been waiting for... I woke up Thursday morning, went in the shower feeling normal, but then I looked in the mirror... Oh what horror I saw... Looking like a hippo... but with no pain at all... strange! We still don't know if it is mumps (fåresyge) or what, but they did some test in the hospital and I'm waiting for the results. Luckily I'm feeling MUCH better today and the swelling has gone down.

But I know you want to see it with your own eyes, so here it is... please enjoy :-)
